Garrard Leaving the Jags?
David Garrard was just on Jim Rome and he made mention the he "was not sure if [he] will be returning" to Jacksonville next season.
Any thoughts on snatching him up? Would we even have the cap room?

buh bye Steve...hello Garrard. Make it happen Biscuit!!!
I would be shocked if Jax let him go after he had such a good year.

Re: Garrard Leaving the Jags?
He's signed for 2008.
He's a free agent after the season.
Jax will get him signed to a long term deal.

Re: Garrard Leaving the Jags?
I'd love to see Garrard in purple, but it's never going to happen. We don't have the draft picks that it would take to land him.
In a 2003 BBC poll that asked Brits to name the "Greatest American Ever", Mr. T came in fourth, behind ML King (3rd), Abe Lincoln (2nd) and Homer Simpson (1st).

Plus, we have Troy Smith. This guy is going to be good, if not better than Garrard, IMO!!

Re: Garrard Leaving the Jags?
Not a chance he lands here -- as PP mentioned, he's actually under contract for next year, so he can't leave unless they trade him, and I have no idea why they would do that. They dumped Leftwich in order to give Garrad the starting job, so why would they let him go? Makes no sense.
Garrad was perhaps just doing some on-the-air negotiating for an extension from the Jags.

Re: Garrard Leaving the Jags?
PP & HW,
Thanks for clarifying. Now that you mention it, it's prolly nothing more than him trying to scare the Jags out of more money.

Re: Garrard Leaving the Jags?
They dumped Leftwitch and decided to go with Garrard and it payed off.
He is not leaving Jacksonville.
