Looks like a very good first move by Harbaugh. It will be interesting to see who he hires as defensive coordinator. ESPN is reporting the Falcons will hire Jacksonvilles' defensive coordinator so Rex Ryan will clearly be in the mix.

I'm on board with Cam; but I have a real problem when people attribute a large part of a QB's success to the OC. I personally believe that the QB succeeds or not, based on his own natural abilities; the great ones succeed regardless of who was coaching them. Now, if Cam turns 'sunshine' into an all-pro, I'm a convert.

We did have a QB coach all of those years too. Alot falls on that guy as well.

That dolphins team you talk about also lost 7 games by 3 points or less.

I will take Cam any day, this is going to be an all new team and i am very excited!

So you lose some options out running routes, but you get more protection usually and guys run deeper routes.

For Boller and Smith this is good news. The simpler the reads, the better and the longer the protection the better. It makes it easier for the defense to cover but that is the least of our concerns right now.

I am excited by this move. As long as he does not go for sideline patterns on
3rd and 1 and call 2 yard outs on 3rd and 9...I will be quite content.
Anyone is better than Billick.
