NFL back in UK 08
http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news?slu...v=st&type=lgns
Looks like two more sets of NFL fans stateside are going to get angry in 08.
Going to London didn't work out too shabby for the Giants. The Dolphins were obviously pissing blood before they left for the UK,so its hard to judge how the trip affected them.Put the smile back on your face. This is a 60 minute ball game.

Re: NFL back in UK 08
Pray (to whatever God / Gods you follow) it's not us for a home game!
The problem is that the 'men is suits' think that not only it was a success but that means the next one will be!!!:grbac: :grbac: :grbac:
It may still be an opportunity for the UKR's - I hope so

Re: NFL back in UK 08
Most frequent rumours I've heard are a KC home game (renovating Arrowhead) or a Jags home game (Shite fan base).
We don't play away to either team next season.

Pray to the Gods, too, that the Ravens if picked, that Wembley isn't picked as the venue with its non tailgating surrounding area. The outside of Wembley is a disaster area.

Re: NFL back in UK 08
Stockers is usually close to the truth on these.
Certainly if all 32 teams will eventually have to play somewhere then why not volunteer, and get it over with before the bubble bursts. If your stadium is being fixed up then its a good excuse not to schedule a home fixture for a few extra weeks. :liar:
We will play in Japan or Australia !!!

You know after the fantastic tailgate and atmosphere at M&T. It will just seem so sterile here in the UK.

Re: NFL back in UK 08
Although I totally agree with list posted by RavenTD, I need to add to it.
The big one is ENOUGH BEER CUPS TO LAST THRU THE FIRST HALF.
And a better exchange rate (but not so much as the first one).
LET'S GO GIANTS!!!!!! (since the Ravens are on the beach with Romo)Last edited by TOEMAN; 01-17-2008 at 06:04 PM.

Re: NFL back in UK 08
They won't do it because the capacity isn't as good but they should do it at Twickenham.
- More suitable turf.
- Large grass car parks (potential fro mud bath) good for tailgating.
- Stands closer to the field.
- Steeper stands give a better feel for the game.
Having said that, we'll be back at Wembley so I don't know why they're delaying the decision.
Either way, stadium and teams will be confirmed Superbowl week apparently.

Re: NFL back in UK 08
Well if it is Wembley, please can we have some good weather.
Please can we have longer grass.
Please can we have more interesting and tasty food on offer.
Please can we all meet up outside the stadium before the game.
Please can we not have a cluster**** that I had with our tickets.
Please can we have more tents outside selling NFL goodies.Put the smile back on your face. This is a 60 minute ball game.

Re: NFL back in UK 08
As I said up the page......................... ;)
As for the complaints about catering at Wembley (Beer, food etc.) you won't be seeing any changes. The catering contract is 25 years and Wembley has no get out clause with the company apparently, so it's going to be a quarter century of absolutely awful catering at our national stadium.
Yet more reason to send the game to Twickenham!
