I feel you but they complement each other just like Sam Adams was the penetrator and Goose was the space eater

Yes, but most bonuses are paid up front, then the cap hit is divided over the remaining years on the contract.

The point is Williams is overpaid for what he actually brings to the table. For the money he is making, he should be some sort of pass rush threat and he is not at all. He is not even in the game on most obvious passing downs. Further more, for as much as he is making we should never give up 100 yards on the ground because that is literally all we are paying him for. The fact that the team gives up big rushing yards with or without him only further proves the point. The position/ role he plays, isn't that valuable and shouldn't be a position that you commit a ton of money to.

Pass rush threats are paid way higher than Williams.

Pierce clearly benefits from the double teams on Williams. Just like how other ILB's benefit from Mosley's presence. Yet Williams and Mosely seem to be the most underappreciated Ravens.

I don't like Williams' contract, but he adds significant value to the defense.

Mosley is constantly getting abused by tight ends and who botched that play we were supposed to make on AB in 2016? Mosley.. couldn't push back a 180 pounder.
