    Defense Rules! Is Ozzie Wrong?

For all the bashing Ozzie gets for trying to stack the D, it turns out 3 of the 4 top defenses are in the Championship Games.

    #1 Vikings
    #2 Jags
    #4 Eagles
    #29 New England

    Ravens were #12.

2017 is proving defense still rules. Your Championship Game QBs are Case Keenum, Blake Bortles, Nick Foles and Tom Brady.

No doubt Ozzie needs to get Joe some playmaking help. But if some of this young talent on D improves and Ozzie can find Joe some targets it may not be all that bad.

Only when you having a coaching staff with some balls. Bortles was throwing the ball right up until the end to beat Pitt. Our coaches would have went into a shell.

Harbaugh would have went into a shell at the start of the third quarter,

Steelers would have won the game comfortably in regulation.

All this offense needs is veteran wideouts. Get a real backer to play next to Mosley and load up on the defensive line again. We would have made playoffs if not for some boneheaded plays by Eric Weddle.

You need both. A balance. Ours is obviously skewed.

So true. The 4 Championship teams all have offenses in the top 11. New England is the only one that defies logic. But I guess Hall Of Fame and top 3 QB of all time overrides sub par D.

These are the facts but in the end all that Defense ain’t gonna help when the Pats are hoisting #6. Those top defenses have patch work offenses right now. The clock has to strike 12 on Bortles, Keenum and def Foles at sometime.

Agreed. . . and our defense is not as good as they think it is.

    (1) How can the young talent on the "D" improve when our coaching staff (a) can't seem to develop the skills they were drafted for (b) don't let them actually play to get experience (c) sometimes play them out of position (d) keep running out older veterans, who still are solid, but could use a breather now and then (?)

    (2) Yes, Ozzie needs to find Flacco targets, both @ WR and TE, and we could use to bolster the Oline, plus perhaps a 1st rate RB too. That's a tall offensive order because he's ignored it by drafting the likes of Elam, Arthur Brown, K L-M, T. Brooks, Simon, Urban, Kaufusi, Correa, Wormley, etc... Bc

    Exactly!!
All but one of the teams that played this weekend had playmakers on offense including the 4 that are left.
The one team that really didn't have but so much on offense was the only team that got it's ass kicked.
They came to the gun fight with a knife!

Defense wins in the post season when they actually let you play it
