Re: Big Ben retirement watch thread. lol
Ben Roethlisberger completed 37-of-58 passes for 469 yards, five touchdowns, and an interception in the Steelers' Divisional Round loss to Jacksonville.
In a stunning back-and-forth shootout at Heinz Field, Roethlisberger overcame a 50-yard sack-fumble touchdown by Jaguars LB Telvin Smith, horrible coaching, and repeated fourth-down failures to light up the NFL’s premier secondary with assistance from football’s greatest post-Jerry Rice wideout, Antonio Brown. Big Ben threw 23- and 43-yard touchdowns to Brown – both in A.J. Bouye’s coverage – adding a 36-yard scoring bomb to Martavis Bryant, a 19-yard TD to Le’Veon Bell up the right sideline, and a short garbage-time time score to JuJu Smith-Schuster. Roethlisberger lateraled to Bell on another score, but it went in the books as a rushing TD. Shaking off a slow start to his age-35 season, Big Ben wound up throwing multiple touchdown passes in each of his final eight games, including playoffs. Roethlisberger is under contract for $17 million in salary and bonuses in 2018.

Put me in the boat of him staying. I don't see him hanging it up just yet.

Re: Big Ben retirement watch thread. lol
He's got $17M reasons to play next year. And especially if they can keep Bell and Brown around. They're going to have to pay Bell and he's earned it IMO

Re: Big Ben retirement watch thread. lol
He played well today, really well. His play doesn't dictate requirement and he is too competitive to quit yet.
But maybe we could trade for him.
Let me Madden up some cap manipulation and get the Steelers to take a 6th in the 2024 draft for him.

Re: Big Ben retirement watch thread. lol
If the Jaguars defenders could catch he'd have thrown like 8 INTs today, no joke. Possibly the luckiest guy in NFL history.
He won't retire.

BIG Ben is definitely playing in 2018. He told Bret Favre, who told me. So, it's official... Bc
