    A Satisfactory Day

Apart from the Clowns win, which I'm not overly bothered about anyway, I'd say we had a hell of a day today. Ben and Bill sucking against the Raiders just now was the icing on the cake.

I think I'll sleep well tonight!

Actually, the Clowns win was good for us. Gives us an edge over the Jets should it come down to a tiebreaker for a wildcard. Everyone knows the Clowns aren't going anywhere, so let them have their 2-5 record.

Additionally, it gives us more ammo against Squealer fan, now that they're sharing the cellar with the lowly Clowns.

Remember all the crap we had to hear last year when we were down there with the Clowns?

Not to mention it hurts their draft position.

A win is a win even if we let the Saints have a little comeback in the fourth. We have to stop the conservative playing when we have a lead. There is no reason the Ravens couldn't keep scoring points in the fourth and really put this game away.

That conservative play calling has made Billick 42-1 when he has a 14 pt lead. He knows the only way he can lose is careless turnovers so why risk it?
The Steelers: Still looking for a legit Super Bowl victory.

I thought we were throwing too much in the 4th quarter. There was a point where they needed 3 scores to tie, so if you run 3 times and can run off 2 minutes and go 3 and out each time that leaves them about 2 minutes per score they need. Possible but very tough.

Satisfactory! I would call that Above Average

A Clowns loss would have made it perfect!

The problem is that the running game (for whatever reason) simply isn't strong enough to close out and shorten games anymore, therefore the pass almost has to be part of the equation.

The point is we didn't need first downs, just to let the clock run. Chances are one of those times we get a first down anyway.
