If what I read is true that a few years ago they were a few million off but the Orioles didn’t want to budge for him then there’s no shot in hell. I do think Manny has a bit of an attitude to him and may want to play under some bigger lights and in a bigger market.
I’d offer 10/275 and give him an opt out at year 5.
If something can’t be met this off season than they have to trade him. Big contracts aren’t the end all be all and they already made a horrible decision signing Davis.

I was really hoping he could be this generations Cal. Davis isn't going to sell tickets. Jones I love him but not sure he sells tickets. Manny imho will sell tickets.

I want them to re-sign Machado, but they won't. I just hope Machado doesn't end up with the Yankees or Red Sox. That would suck.
