Re: The Movies/TV thread
I watched Blade Runner 2049 this week. I've heard and read from several places how awesome of a movie it was.
I enjoyed the original Blade Runner.
I did not care for 2049 though. I thought it was well cast with Ryan Gossling, Jared Leto, and obviously Harrison Ford. But it was soooooo sllllloooooowwwwwww....and the cinematography, IMO, made it difficult to really see what was going on.Disclaimer: The content posted is of my own opinion.

Re: The Movies/TV thread
Denis Villenueve's films are all paced pretty methodically. I don't usually mind because the set and sound design are beautiful enough to get lost in. I really enjoyed 2049, but I don't think I'd put it in my top 5 of 2017 or anything. I liked Sicario and Arrival more.
He's working on a Dune adaptation right now. It may end up being 10 hours long.

Re: The Movies/TV thread
Between that, Hell or High Water, and Wind River, everything Taylor Sheridan has written has been pretty great.
The Sicario sequel, which Sheridan wrote, but has a different director, is one of my most anticipated movies of the summer along with Shane Black's The Predator.
