They were so dug in that before Trump comments like two players were protesting.
Look I get it Trump hurt their feelings noone likes to be called out as a SOB but if this born out of some sort of principle then they would have been kneeling en masse before he called them out. Trump trolled them and they took the bait.
What is sort of missing is the NFL thinks that the fans that are tuning out are going to come back. Ask baseball after the strike. Sure some will but honestly I haven't watched a game since and have no intention of watching football for the rest of the year regardless of whether they kneel or stand. The magic is dead. Moving on.
