Services rendered+ you= your you one who did jack shit to earn that, you might as well be a plantation owner making money off of dead slaves. The hypocrisy is absolutely astonishing, pretty impressive to actually sound that dumb.

    Tread lightly? Really?

Now you're an internet tough guy?

Dude, you have to be between 13 - 16 years old. Are you going to college? If so, what school do you hope to attend and what do you plan to major in?

    Serious question.

Prager U videos are the absolute best thing to hit the internet...maybe ever.

I encourage EVERYONE to subscribe to their videos on youtube.

Here's the latest one. Very relevant:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GgoT1af27IY

Are you a parent who teaches your children the value of money? Do you give them an "allowance" for doing nothing? In a new PragerU short, "How To Raise Kids Who Are Smart About Money," bestselling author and personal finance expert Rachel Cruz gives parents some good advice on how to do just that.

"Everyone knows the earlier you learn a language, the easier it is to master," Cruz begins. "Learning a foreign language at four takes a lot less effort than learning one at forty. The same holds true with managing your money. I can tell you this from personal experience."

She adds,"I grew up in a home where the value of money was a frequent topic of conversation. Today, I teach people how to get out of debt and build wealth with my dad, Dave Ramsey. Growing up in my parents’ home, I learned a few things about kids and money."

Cruz shares some pointers on how to teach kids on being wise with their cash. First, put your kids to work.

"It's very important that your kids understand that money comes from work ... not from mom and dad’s wallet," she explains. "As soon as your children can grasp the concept of cause and effect, and that happens at a very young age, you can start teaching them about the work/money connection. Just make sure (the chores are) age appropriate. Don’t have your five year-old mow the lawn. And pay them for some of the work they do."

She continues, "Let your kids make mistakes with their money." This will teach them at an early age that saving is important to their financial future.

Great post, but it wont resonate with him, because he wants to profit off his dead ancestors so he is entitled to their payments for their work. The work has already been put in, just not by him.

But what you posted is absolutely true. Parents dont teach their kids enough about money, or maybe just its in low income families, like mine was. But anyone can learn, just wish i would of learned earlier, thankfully i learned how to day trade, invest, and have a work ethic. May i ask what you do?

Yeah, I don't get paying for services rendered. How would paying him for other peoples work make things better? Would people who were slaves 200 years ago suddenly feel their life had meaning and value cause he got paid.

    Simply moronic.

I work in sales for an IT company.

I've been in the game for roughly 15 years. I think that's one of the many reasons why I value a person's character over other surface level nonsense (skin color) that other people (MV) judge others by. I truly enjoy people and learning about them and trying to help them solve whatever problem they or their organization might be having. I really like what I do...and...it allows me to support my wife and our children.

I NEVER come across people like MV who openly hate. I don't recall ever interacting with someone like him because I don't want to waste a second of my time indulging their behavior. However...it's good to see, firsthand, that people like him exist because it really makes me appreciate all of the wonderful people I surround myself with and work with. I guess I am naïve when it comes to racism because I personally don't know anyone who is.

I assume that people who have hate in their heart really hate themselves and are pretty insecure about who they are. I hope he and other people like him find happiness in life. It cant be fun to hate.

And the irony of him complaining about other people profiting from someone else's work when he is literally doing the exact same thing (race doesnt matter). Especially when he discounts any other type of "slavery" actions, only counts if they're black. So yea, profiting from others work is a terrible thing huh? Guess hes a African-American plantation owner to dead slaves

Very well said, i will never understand the mindset of someone who judges based off the color of skin. Growing up where i did that was a common practice and something i seperated myself from after speaking up. I willl not be associated with people like that. My way of thinking and my views in life dont exactly fit well in a very small christian town in Arkansas. I love these discussions when i can actually learn from someone from a different upbringing and view point, i believe thats the only way we grow as a human being, have to be open minded in this world.

I am terrible with computers, i dont even know how to defrag mine lol. I really need to take some classes. Sales is something i did for a little bit, worked for Harley Davidson but i sucked at it, didnt know my product, more a street rider.

Im a logistics specialist with the Department of Defense, basically a consultant for the military and train people who transition to different MOS' (Military Occupational Skill), mainly work with the F18s but looking into moving over to f22s or 35s. The years i spent in the Marines gave me skills i thought i would never possess, having a top-secret security clearance lets me apply for jobs all over the world and im going to considering it very seriously begining of the year. Although, i do have a application in for the Peace Corps, something i've wanted to do for a very long time. This is a great topic, learning what each other does, maybe a good new thread.

Re: Jemele Hill at it again

I’ve been thinking about this a lot.

I don’t think the concept of generational wealth is something that a lump sum payment of any amount is going to achieve for the black community. The very basis for “generational wealth” comes from education and, I don’t mean this to be offensive, but it is going to come across that way - it doesn’t really appear that a majority of black Americans really value education.

Generational wealth occurs over generations. Meaning, one’s great grandparents did something to ensure their kids would be better off. Then their grandparents did the same for their kids. Then their parents took the “baton” and did the same for their kids. And on it goes. The point is that, in a VAST majority of families in the US, those great grandparents didn’t start out with much. But they did enough to provide a good life and instill strong values and ethics into their kids and pushed them towards education and working hard for their keep. That is how generational wealth is built. Generational wealth isn’t always $$$, but rather values and worth ethics that give one the opportunity to achieve and do better than their parents.

I think one could certainly argue that prior to LBJ’s social welfare programs, which were intended to supplement black Americans - even though there is evidence to suggest they didn’t need it (as per Thomas Sowell), many black American families did the exact same thing as most white American families. They worked hard. They instilled values and ethics in their children. And they did what they had to do to provide their kids opportunity to achieve more. You don’t really see that too much anymore in my eyes.
