Seattle won the game tonight vs Arizona but lost Richard Sherman. And several members of the team are blaming Thursday Night Football.

Last week Ritchie Ingcognito said the same thing.

They discussed this on SiriusXM and said these players complain but not one talks about giving up the money. 55% of the revenue from those Thursday night games goes towards the players. It's one of the reasons why the salary cap keeps expanding. Would they give that up to get rid of Thursday night games?

The other point that was brought up was that players never complained about playing on Thanksgiving especially those in Dallas and Detroit. They would always say it was an honor. It's not like Thursday night games just started. They've been going on since the 50's

It would be less of a shit show if they did it only after a team bye. Then, you get on game in 21 days with two long weeks in between. That would only work if you started it later in the season like is originally was though.

Ive heard the bye week argument but players truly saviour their bye weeks. I think the solution is two bye weeks, one regular and one set up for the mid week Thursday night game. I personally have no problem with adding an extra week to the season and pushing the super bowl back a week or starting the season a week earlier.
