Cosign. They could have held on to Jernigan another year in that case too while they develop Carl Davis and Michael Pierce in addition to any draft picks they would make

I'm more focused on trying to develop the next KO. The coaches were gushing about Alex Lewis last year. Hopefully he turns into something. It sounds like he has that kind of potential.

It's going to be interesting what they do with him.

I think they really liked his ability to maul at OG. His mean streak and lower body strength make him a good fit for being an OG. It's going to be a shame if they have to kick him out to RT because they dont have other options.

He could be a very good guard, but maybe only an average tackle.

Stanley is a very good lineman, Lewis seem to be in the Wagner mold? Not quiet sold on him yet but he seems solid last year. I am hoping someone will emerge I don't want Hurst nowhere near starting games.

Bwill is the anchor of our defense. By that I mean He drags it down in the 4th qrtr with the game on the line.

I'm just basing it on the love he was given publicly by the coaches. One interesting this is that Zreibec reported that during the mini-camp Lewis spent the whole time at Guard. He wasn't given any RT snaps. My guess is that's because they really like what they see from him at LG. KO was the same way. Harbaugh used to also talk about his versatility but he was left at LG because he was damn good at it. That doesn't help our Tackle situation but it could help the O-line this year.

I agree, don't weaken another position trying to fill a hole.
