GOTA asked the big question. To add to it, why expand his role so quickly? Suggs spent his entire rookie season just rushing the passer.

Easy. Because Pees is an idiot. Another question: why would Harbs allow it?

It's not just about year one, there is plenty of time for this guy to develop and contribute. He has the skills

I don't think it's about Correa not being fit or a good fit. Correct if I'm wrong but I don't think Boise State runs a pro style defense. If true then Correa was bound to go through some growing pains or trouble adjusting to NFL playbook.

    I'm curious,
If this team is so desperate for pass rush (a Role Correa filled in Boise St.) why was he converted to ILB?
After all he was an edge guy wasn't he?

It's not like The Ravens were quite clear that Zach Orr was going to be the clear starting inside linebacker so they needed more options. Ozzie Newsome never said Correa was coming here to mainly rush the passer.

Maybe they should stop drafting "value" players that don't fit the scheme.

How valuable are they if they can't carve a role?

This is my problem with recent picks like jernigan, Correa, etc.

They are taking them without a plan just because they see them at a certain spot that just screams "value", all the while passing on , gulp, playmakers...

I don't get how Timmy Jernigan is considered not a good fit for The Ravens defense . The Ravens don't run a pure 3-4 defense so I'm not getting how a guy like Jernigan wasn't considered a good fit. Most of Jernigan snaps were pass rushing snaps according to profootball focus so the guy was asked to get after the quarterback alot. I don't think there's many teams in The NFl that stick to one way of doing things as much anymore.
