    PFF's New Product Line

    http://www.profootballfocus.com/subscriptions/

I love spending my wife's money, and this is right up my alley.
However, I mistakenly told her that $199/yr is only a little more than one Manhattan--with tip--at our local drinking hole...so she told me to cut back my drinking : (

Anyways, I'll always find PFF's grades somewhat flawed (show your work, dammit!), but their measurements and metrics (which is most of their content) are gold for data junkies like myself. They'll also have plenty of stuff for the fantasy whores among us.

IMO, PFF, NFL's NextGen stats (a silly name), and Sharpfootballstats.com (which is still free for now) should make for an incredibly deep advanced stats/analytics package.

I like PFF for certain things, but not others and as long as you pair it with some film explanations I think it's fine.

I think their OL grading system is good, but I wish I could see the work. Filmstudy's for example is excellent becuase you can see how he scored it.

I agree. Data should lead one to assumptions and questions, not absolutes and solutions.

    Ken's work is outstanding.
I use it to dummy-check PFF's grades. Never the other way around.

Nothing worse than a discussion with someone only referencing PFF grades.

On that note - do we know where Zuttah ranked on PFF? 13th?

    Yup.
    18th vs. pass.
    15th vs. run.

Against notables, he was 1.1 points below Unger and 0.3 pts above Pouncey (PIT).

Sharp's data says we had the 2nd best YPC running behind Zuttah (4.6).
    Best YPC was wide-right (5.6).

However, our low (vs. peers) YPC's over LT/LG and RG/RT could be partly due to Zuttah's failure to climb to the 2nd level.
Ken would know much more about that.

I believe Ken said Zuttah got credit for a lot of double teams and he was ripping pffs grade of Zuttah
