    Welcome to BMORE Tim Williams

Re: Welcome to BMORE Tim Williams

Ravens selected Alabama OLB Tim Williams with the No. 78 overall pick in the 2017 NFL draft.

Williams (6’3/244) was a situational pass rusher at Alabama, collecting 19.5 sacks over his final two seasons but rarely seeing the field beyond sub-packages. Exposures to Williams defending the run and dropping into coverage are limited. In Indy, Williams tested as a 49th-percentile athlete with 4.70 speed and below-par three-cone results (7.36). An impact part-time player in college, Williams’ NFL future is less certain. He has failed multiple drug tests, carries work ethic concerns, and is old-ish for a rookie, turning 24 later this year. If Williams gets his head on straight, he projects best as a third-down rusher and special teams help.

Called Williams, but a round earlier than what actually happened.

Newsome said Tim Williams was up front about his issues. 'He understands and he will accept that challenge to now allow that to happen."

I really enjoyed watching that Voch Lombardi film session. He kept re-winding stuff to see it again and again. I wanted to see the same stuff again and again.

Man, you want to temper your expectations about a rookie, especially with his various issues, but DAMN that guy was born with the football gene.

Williams is a lot better defending the run than he's given credit for.

This could be misleading due to sample size though.

    He wasn't an everydown OLB/DE.

    Something to consider.
