    I'll be the first to say Joe has a lot to work on from a fundamentals standpoint. But, I also feel that having an entire offseason of full health will help him improve.

    New England has the No. 1 scoring defense this year, although I do believe that is abetted by a lighter schedule. Regardless there is absolutely no running evidence that the tide is turning. Every so often when there's a historically good offence, ala when Green Bay or New Orleans won, they will break through. But pretty easy to look at even the last 10 years of Superbowls and see that good to great defence is a way way more common thread than high gunning offences.
