How does his brother's connection validate the notion that Harbs "only hires his buddies"?

I have siblings too. Their friends are not my friends. Especially as adults.

A professional recommendation, if it did indeed happen, is a far cry from hiring ones buddies.

Apparently he worked with brother Jim at Stanford. More family connections.

He was Jim's OC with the Niners too.

I'd be shocked if he's the QB coach. I'm expecting a role with the OL, likely "Run game coordinator". Which essentially means Castillo fucks off, but remains a coach.
No Roman and Harbs have never worked together. The narrative in my view has been that as well as Harbaugh hiring from the coaching trees of his friends also. Of course coaches are going to go with "the devil they know" but it seems as though Harbs tends do do it at a more frequent rate. It's telling that many people predicted Roman on this coaching staff a few weeks back.

If you look around the league, all coaches do it.

I'd be willing to bet Harbs has only met Roman a handful of times and is hardly his "buddy". This is most likely a result of a professional recommendation from his brother and / or Ozzie.

Sure, but I guess in my book Harbaugh doesn't get the benefit of the doubt since those choices, especially recently, have yielded little results-wise.
