    1. "Weather was the cause" - The only thing they have to hang their hat on with this lie was just MIT professor, who is a Pats fan BTW, who said that under extreme conditions, the balls could have been deflated to that level. Simulations done with the balls in the same exact weather conditions showed that the temperature that night needed to be much colder than it was for that disparity to take place.

    2. "The Appeals Court Threw Out the Evidence" - No, they did not. The one appeals court that ruled in Brady's favor didn't once talk about the evidence. Brady got off on a technicality about the fairness of the process in the CBA, not the evidence. Not once did that panel of judges rule on the validity of the evidence. As we all know, the higher court upheld the suspension.

    3. "No smoking gun" - In dealing with matters of the integrity of the game, the standard as listed in the NFL Constitution, is a preponderance of evidence. 51%. Was it more likely than not did Brady conspire to deflate footballs. Given the overwhelming amount of evidence in the Wells Report, that standard was easily met and then some. Go ahead and throw out the weather argument, there's still a ton in the report to hang the cheater.

    4. "The Deflator" - About as bad as you can get and, as our new Pats fan showed, they love to ignore that one because it's so damaging. No need to explain that one.

Spygate overblown? If it wasn't a big deal then why do it? In any case you are either cheating or not and the Cheatriots are known Cheaters. Just suck it up, you have 4 asterisks and are stuck running around to message boards like this one trying to defend cheating a-holes.

    ENJOY!
There's no asterisks, only in the haters minds. And Indys balls weee also deflated.

I do indeed hate cheaters. I also hate the Steelers, but I respect them. Their QB takes a hit like a man and they aren't perpetual cheaters.

    Enjoy your 4 asterisks.

There were 4 judges in NY and they split 2-2. The only one who actually waded into the events of the case rather than just the CBA aspects ( Bermsn) completely gutted the NFLs case.

Wells was a prosecutor hired to hang the Patriots, not to find the truth. He suppressed everything that supported NE, and ignored the most important fact of the whole case which was the refs recollection that he used gauge A, not gauge B, pregame. If he accepted Walt Andersons testimony, then there was no case.

The Deflator text occurred 8 months prior to that game, in the middle of the off season. Wells omitted all the ball boy testimony from his report, and wouldn't share his interview notes with Brady's legal team.

That's just a columnist writing his opinion. What does that prove?
