Chester Taylor Looking Good
Don't get me wrong, he needed to go. That said, he is looking very good. It goes to show that the Ravens have a good eye for RB talent. Looks like Rob Long was wrong in his assessment that Chester had the skills to be an every down back in the NFL. Rob Long was also wrong in thinking that Mark Clayton would be a bust pick.
To keep this a general NFL topic, I am very happy for Chester, but I do not wish we still had him. It's a new season! It's a new day!

Re: Chester Taylor Looking Good
He had 169 yards today against the Seahawks including a 95 or so yard TD run.
I was against letting him go. Now we're stuck with a whiny Jamal who can't run or catch the ball.

Re: Chester Taylor Looking Good
which is why I'm hoping Chester, Terry, Brown, etc. turn out to be OL studs in the future.
Any thoughts on our future plans at RB? As of right now, they can't include Jamal. Is next year step up year for Musa, or do you think we'll just use a 1st or 2nd rounder on a RB?.

I wouldn't jump to a 1st or 2nd rounder to grab a running back, we have far greater needs in the OL. I'm sure we can use those picks to draft a couple more projects!!!! I think you look for a guy in round 3, there should be plenty of good runners there, or if someone slips to the 2nd round, take a run at him.
If Jamal was running behind the Vikings line, he could do his pitter patter dance & still break some runs. Their OL is awesome & they have serious $$$$ tied up in it.

Wow! a guy who is the same as our rb, same avg., 2 td's, and you want to crown him our lost savior cuz he had 1 big run? Talk about reactionary!:insane:

Re: Chester Taylor Looking Good
Rochardrik has a point; 169 yrds rushing, but 95 on one run, which leaves, if my math is correct, 74 yds otherwise. I don't think he's putting up great numbers, and I hate to think of the toll an indoor/carpet field takes on the legs of a rb. I think Musa S is the rb of the future (as long as his legs hold up; he's been hurt a few times). wouldnt' be surprised if they draft a rb high next time. don't they have some kid/rookie rb on the team this year? I don't have a roster in front of me...
