    Thumbs up Top 5 RBs

I have the 2nd pick in my keeper league and will taking a RB. Rank your top 5RBs.

I know Larry Johnson and Shawn Alexander are not on the board.

    For me its

    1. Larry Johnson
    2. LT
    3. Shaun Alexander
    4. Rudi Johnson
    5. Steven Jackson

for a keeper league I would take LT or Steven Jackson at #2.

    Okay, I'll play:

    I have them:
    LJ
    LT
    SA
    TB
    Jackson

There is very little difference between 1-3. You could make solid cases for and against them. Portis with the injury and now with the Duckett signing should not even be in the top 12 RB's. When he does play, he'll get pulled inside the 10 yard line. Gibbs has always loved stockpiling RB's and using them situationally; can you say Riggins/Washington, Riggins/Rogers, Byners/Riggs/Bryant etc.

Barber is tricky. He's a solid #4 if you play in a PPR league. I am hesitant to build a team around him, but that's just me.

Fanman says LT and LJ will not be on the board, so here's where I'd go from there:

    SA
    TB
    Jackson
    Ronnie Brown
    Lamont Jordan
    Caddy

I put Caddy in there b/c he is the same to me as Jordan. I worry that the Raiders will be playing from behind alot so Caddy might come out ahead. I am really high on Brown and Jackson this year.

    Re: Top 5 RBs

Ummm, how can two RBs be off the board if you have the second pick? If this isn't the first year of your league, it would help to know exactly who is available.

    My top backs are:

    1. Larry Johnson
    2. LaDainian Tomlinson
    3. Shaun Alexander
    4. Tiki Barber
    5. Ronnie Brown
    6. Stephen Jackson
    7. Rudi Johnson
    8. Clinton Portis

    Re: Top 5 RBs

Every team had one keeper from last year so the following RBS were not on the board:

    Larry Johnson
    Edgerin James
    Rudi Johnson
    Ronnie Brown
    Shawn Alexander

LT got taken w/ the 1st pick so I went w/ Tiki Barber as my 1st pick.

Heh, did someone REALLY choose another player to keep over Tomlinson? It better have been Larry Johnson or MAYBE Shaun Alexander. Even the Mannings, Palmer, and Brady don't deserve to be kept over LT. Anyway, Barber is just fine for you if those RBs are gone, although in your place I think I would have gone with Stephen Jackson, he'll give you better potential for longer than Barber.
