Flat tax would be better. But yes, another way to simplify the tax code.

I mean do you really expect a tax break to pay for someone to watch your kids when you don't work at all?
I may be incorrect, but I believe Houston already mentioned why he is not working and it's seems to be a very understandable reason. I could be wrong though.

Where did that come from? Who says I was expecting it? I made a conscious, voluntary decision to quit my career and stay home with the kids. As such, I don't qualify for the credits you mentioned.

I was telling you why I dont qualify, not complaining about it.

I'm not criticizing Houston for not working. Kudos to him for staying home.
The whole point was that there currently exists a deduction for child care. That he doesn't qualify for it, doesn't mean it doesn't exist or that it's not helpful.

    Things I like:

    • propose a Constitutional Amendment to impose term limits on all members of Congress
    • a lifetime ban on White House officials lobbying on behalf of a foreign government
    • cancel all federal funding to Sanctuary Cities
    • The business [tax] rate will be lowered from 35 to 15 percent, and the trillions of dollars of American corporate money overseas can now be brought back at a 10 percent rate.
    • School Choice And Education Opportunity Act
I would love to see a 12 year term limit on Congress. Two terms for Senators and six terms for members of the House of Representatives. Highly unlikely that it would happen, but that would be HUGE.

It might take him a couple of days to get rid of all the Qurans laying around the White House.
