Not to be a nitpicker ... but... it's KNUTE ROCKNE not NEWT Rockney. Isn't a NEWT some kind of lizard??
As to the topic at hand, as long as Lewis is under contract and playing as well as he is there is no need to do anything. If he becomes unreasonable when his contract needs to be redone then a decision will have to be made that weights return on investment. RIght now I'm far more concerned with getting Ogdon off the field than Ray Lewis.

Please clarify yourself in stating that Cal Jr "cared more about himself then the team itself..". I'd be really interested in hearing why you feel the way you do?!

You sir are a f***ing idiot. I hear you in every thread wanting to get rid of all the great players on this team. So it is Ray's fault our offense has sucked all these years? Is it Ray's fault we have scored 27 TD's in the last 26 games? Is it Ray's fault that Rolle, Ivy, Cmac and Martin have been burnt? He is without question the only good thing we have on this team right now! I can not wait to see what you say when he is gone. He is still a top 5 LB in this league right now. He is on pace for over 180 tackles again this year. I am just curious what he has to do in order to gain respect with you. The bottom line here is you are no the dumbest person on this board!

If we could free that money up to make our team alot more balanced then im all for it.. We need a offense to win games..

Someone asked Newt Rockney if he rather have a great offense or great defense if he could only have one.. His response, if your down by 21 points it won't matter how great your defense is..
Newt Rockney? Is that Newt Gingrich's brother? Boy, Knute would be turning over in his grave!!!

Ray Lewis gives this team an aura of respectibility even when we don't deserve it, merely by his presence on the field. The day he is no longer a Raven will be the day that many of the blind will see this clearly.

#1: Not staying in the team hotel

#2: Playing every game out of ego while battling injuries when he should have rested which could have helped the team

#3: Having a attitude about moving to 3rd base and giving the cold shoulder to Manny Alexander who was suppose to be the next shortstop.. That is documented in the ESPN Sportscentury show about Ripken

Manny Alexander did not work on his game, which is why Cal did not like him. Want proof? The guy had some talent but where did he get with it even after leaving Baltimore?

Cal Sr. instilled in both his sons a solid work ethic! You want to call it ego - I want to call it dedication and commitment to his profession. Baltimore is blessed to have had Cal Jr represent this city, not only locally, but nationally, and worldwide as well!
