Should we spend the money tp keep Suggs
Suggs is in his final year before another big contract. I'm not sure if we should invest a lot money to keep him. Does anyone know the Ravens cap situation right now ?

In a word, yes, we should invest in him.
No way I want to lose 22 sacks in the space of two off-seasons without replacing them. We've got areas to address already without needing to bring in a top level pass rusher to boot.
I'd take the same attitude as we did with CMac, if we can't meet in the middle, then we stick the franchise tag on him. He's far too valuable a player to lose IMO. He's already top level and yet still has the ability to improve.Last edited by UKRavenStockers; 11-18-2007 at 06:16 AM.

Suggs knows he'll get his money too. He sees that they took care of Reed and Heap. He will get his cash, don't worry about that.
And yes, you absolutely resign him. He is still one of the better pass rushers in the NFL, and if we can get Pryce 100% the sacks will come back.

Definitely. If we lose him, then suddenly our defense will have more holes to fill. We need a defensive lineman, one or 2 CB's, and Ray Lewis has one more year on his contract. Suggs is only 25 and has a bright future in front of him.

They need to make it a point to resign him. Don't want him to slip away like Thomas.
