2017 Draft Thread -- because we have an unhealthy obsession

    Some links to get started:

    http://espn.go.com/college-football/...year-nfl-draft

Looks like it'll be a loaded top-end (sigh). At this early stage, looks a better draft than 2016 at just about every position other than OT, CB, and interior DL.

Definitely a better draft on paper. I noted after the season that it was frustrating to me that the one year where we have a top 6 pick, it's a weaker draft, especially at the top.

    Oh well.

Early top need for me for next year (silly to say that right now but what the hell), is CB. Good thing though is that there will be quite a few more QB's probably coming off the board early next year which will push more players down to us.
Although Walsh's system of offense can compensate for lack of talent; however, defense is a different story. According to Walsh, talent on defense was essential and could not be compensated for. What did Walsh do in 1981? He acquired physical and talented players on defense.

Maybe it's just me, but JuJu Smith-Schuster is a scary prospect to me. Too many failed USC receivers.
    Let's win the f**king game.

Mike Williams will end up the top WR, if healthy.

Jabril Peppers is my longshot hope and dream. That dude is outstanding.

    6'1" 210lbs...he's a monster and he's a GOOD corner.

If JuJu declares, he'll be playing as a 20 year old pro until Thanksgiving.

    On Corey Davis

...Davis is not without flaws, though. He needed to get stronger and he did that by adding about 10 to 15 pounds of muscle this offseason.

If he can hold his speed (which was very good) at this new weight (210-215lbs?), he's going to kill it.

Of course, he'll see a lot of bracket double-teams w/o slot WR Braverman (drafted by CHI) on the opposite side.

This account here is great if you care to do some really deep diving on HS all-stars and CFB incoming freshmen.
Apologies for the annoying, hand-gesturing SOB that clearly loves the sound of his own voice (you'll see what I mean).
