Cowboys New Headquarters is pretty impressive...

This looks sweet. The hotel and 12K seat stadium really stand out to me.
1 Winning Drive has been among the tops in the league since it opened, but I know they can only accommodate limited public viewing of TC practices. I'm pretty sure they have room to expand there, makes me wonder if Steve might consider an expansion to allow for more fan access/amenities at the facility.Never get in a fight with a pig; you both get muddy, and the pig likes it...

We are planning on road-tripping out for the Dallas game this year. I'll be curious to see it up-close and personal.

Pretty damn nice looking facility.
With that being said....
All the fancy real estate in the world can't fix or improve bad coaching and front office management. Will Die A Ravens Fan!!

Jerry loves to spend on his team. No doubt about it.

Danny will invest when there's money to be made. He has poured gazzillions into FedEx Field premium seating upgrades, escalators, elimination of ibstructing metal rails etc. Also converting restrooms into obstructed view sideline seats, and supposed "dream" seats at field level with esssentially no view of the game. If he saw a good return he'd upgrade his Virginia facilities. But what works in low property value uncongested suburban DFW area may not work in high proced congested NOVA.
In a 2003 BBC poll that asked Brits to name the "Greatest American Ever", Mr. T came in fourth, behind ML King (3rd), Abe Lincoln (2nd) and Homer Simpson (1st).

Re: Cowboys New Headquarters is pretty impressive...
This is where the NFL is going. NFL owners had been looking for more streams of revenue and with a real estate magnate like Stan Kronke on board and with more power, you'll see more of this.
Kraft started this with Patriot Place, but now Jerry is learning from and building on their mistakes, the top one being that Jerry is building in the middle of a city and finding organizations like the local school district to use at least part of it. He won't have to worry about lining up as many groups to rent space. Plus, he's building a convention center and hotel. Convention business is pretty big (which you know if you pay attention to local Baltimore politics)
Speaking of Danny, I wonder if the new Rams stadium and this practice facility are why he's been pretty silent about where he wants his team to be in the future. Waiting to see how these things panned out, but they look like they're going to go well.
NoVA is very congested, but Danny has the money to buy up land near where the Silver Line will be running in a few years. The kind of project that Jerry built is the exact same thing that Virginia lawmakers would love, if built near the Silver Line. Dense and walkable itself, near transit, and would keep at least the practice facility in the state, which they've made no bones about wanting from the start. Tyson's is pretty much now becoming its own city now that it's reorienting towards Metro, they want more of that, and working with Danny could get them there.
As for the Ravens, I can't see them leaving Owings Mills and moving the practice facility, given the amount of investment they've made out there. What I can see, however, is one day, them having a new Downtown stadium with development around it. Actually, that's how things should have happened the first time around, but that's neither here, nor there.---

Re: Cowboys New Headquarters is pretty impressive...
Quite frankly, I think that line of thinking is already under way to a certain extent...see the casino.
Now you have a new HammerJacks getting built and developed in the same area.
All of this is not necessarily directly connected to harborplace but it certainly is a hop skip and a jump to get there.
Whether it happens or not remains to be seen, but I could certainly see more and more of the old warehouses, factories and dilapidated buildings being either torn down or renovated to bring in more revenue making facilities that would help all entities involved in the general area. Will Die A Ravens Fan!!

Re: Cowboys New Headquarters is pretty impressive...
went to the preseason game two years ago....not a great venue for football....too much open and wasted space, especially in the end zones...video boards are a distraction for anyone more than 30 rows from field level. On the plus side, Cowboys fans are very friendly.....

Re: Cowboys New Headquarters is pretty impressive...
I'm surprised that the City and State haven't swept in yet to acquire that land for that purpose specifically. Especially after the Casino opened. If I hear in the next couple of years that Bisciotti, Plank, a combination of the two, or whatever, has purchased that land and is doing this kinda thing, I'll be very happy. That would be huge for the city.
Then hopefully the city can put some focus back on Harborplace proper. Cordish and Paterakis have talked about building an arena on Piers 5 and 6, but the best place is still connected to the Convention Center.---
