Exclamation Attention RSR Posters - PLEASE READ.

    RSR Members -

Over the course of the past year, at the request of the site's administrators and owners, RSR mods have been attempting to address issues such as trolling, baiting, and so on. This is not an easy task, but we do the best that we can. We really do appreciate when folks us the "report" feature as it allows us to track a lot of different threads. RSR mods aren't always online and have lives outside of this forum, so we aren't always active in every single thread. Thus, the report feature is a good thing for us. It also allows us to give RSR members direct feedback on certain things.

    That said...

There has been a significant uptick in posters reporting things that could honestly be addressed by using the "ignore" feature that is made available to all RSR posters. We've literally gotten reported posts about people not liking the words another poster uses or that someone is being baited because they were told their opinion was "ridiculous" or "silly". In other circumstances we've had reported posts because someone assumed that an RSR member they have/had an issue with should be banned...just because.

Folks, we cannot be any more clear on this.

If you have an issue with a particular poster, use the ignore feature. That's what it is there for. If you're unsure of how to use the ignore feature, might I direct you to RSR Member Lobachevsky who has perfected the art of ignoring.

If you happen to be reading this and find yourself saying "I dont like to put anyone on ignore", well, then you are openly acknowledging the fact that you might encounter RSR members that post things you just don't like. Not using the ignore feature and then reporting posts you don't like or reporting posts from a poster you don't like kind of makes it look like you have an agenda. Whether or not that is true, who knows?

In the military there is something called the Informal Resolution System, or IRS. What the IRS teaches is to deal with things at the lowest level possible. On RSR, the lowest level possible is either to shoot a PM to the person and work it out that way. If that doesn't work, the next level would be to put that RSR member on ignore. That way, the only time you see the things they post is when they are quoted by someone else. Lastly, if things persist, THEN use the report feature or shoot a PM to a mod. This is especially true of RSR members abusing others via PM.

Admin Steve was kind enough to post a link to the site's Terms of Service on the main RSR forum page. For those that don't know what I'm talking about, here it is: http://forum.russellstreetreport.com...cement.php?f=3

If you happen to stumble upon a post that you think is questionable, please review the TOS. If you feel that it absolutely violates the TOS, then use the report feature.

Again - if you see posts from an RSR member that you just can't stand and the poster makes your skin crawl...use the IGNORE feature.

    Thank you.
