Board hysteria, hyperbole, & over-reaction notwithstanding, Campanaro's '15 season was sacrificed in hope of the speedy recovery of Lord Perriman, who has yet to take the field and there's a reasonable chance that he won't.

Of course, if Perriman's bum knee does heal, he's in the mix with Smith Jr & Aiken, but don't be surprised to see Butler as #3 to start the season, then drop behind Smith, Aiken, Perriman, Campanaro.

As to the sixth WR, my end-of-shitty-season misery would end very quickly to see Calvin Johnson signed, as suggested above. If not, it would likely be a draft choice or the other Brown.
Great post! 3rd year is gonna be the charm for Camp. He will have a great spring and the team will commit to the slot position with choice routes, corner rts and jet sweeps..it will open everything up for the outside guys!

    1. Periman
    2. Aiken
    3. Camp
    4. Butler
    5. Draft Pick
    6. Mathews

Smith Sr. will be full go by week 6

True dat. The investment they've already made was beginning to pay off, if for the wrong reasons ( injuries to others).

Pool placement can be argued, but almost without exception, unless you have a guy (preferably, a young guy) that falls into one of these pools then you're just pissing in the wind with regards to establishing a consistent and productive passing game.

FWIW...I dropped several prospects into a pool from my old post.
This is based upon play-style and a few subjective projections, not performance.
Pool #3 (athletic technicians) looks strong.

    Pool 1
    Treadwell
    Doctson
    Sharpe
    Wilson
Lawler (not big, but great at catch point)

    Julio
    Jeffrey
    AJG
    Mega
    ARob
    Marshall
    Evans
    DThomas

    Pool 2
    Coleman
    Fuller
    Cooper
    Braverman

    Baldwin
    OBJ
    Edelman
    Manny Sanders
    Hilton

    Pool 3
    MThomas (OSU)
    Boyd
    Shepard
    Caroo

    SSR
    Maclin
    Brown
    Hopkins
    Fitz

Landry (Unusual cat. In a pool by himself IMO)

And that is why I am hoping for Corey Coleman, somehow...
Because he would be the future young Smith Sr for the Ravens, moving forward.
He is that deep threat and quick in a phone booth guy, as well.
Then together with Perriman, deep speed on both sides.
All the other receivers are the underneath, across the middle, possession guys.
3 young TEs who are going to grow too.
The only thing we would be missing is a truly dynamic, 3 down RB.
And maybe they think we already have that with Buck.

Treadwell could be the pick at 6 as well, but if he falls due to his combine, would they still have him as their number 6.
If so, would a trade partner enable the Ravens to get 3 coveted prospects to fill some of those HUGE needs Edge Rusher, WR, OL, corner?

So, Corey Coleman as the draft pick to compete for playing time in 2016 and to learn from Smith Sr at the same time.

I choose who we think are good plus a FA minus a draft pick. I don't trust Ozzie. NE can pick a fifth rounder and make it work. Ozzie.... Not so much. Leave the draft alone.

It's funny how you ignore the fact that NE is just as bad at drafting WRs as we are, but they still do it every year but you tell Ozzie not to do it.

It amazes me how people on this board ignore New England's woes at drafting WRs and assume that the Ravens are the only team in the league who can't draft WRs.
