I would say our 3rd and 4th stringers are playing like 3rd and 4th stringers.

Our 1st stringers are that good either.. This group has done nothing since 2001.. 0-3 in the playoffs with the last two losses being at home..

Cough, cough . . . I thought we had a shot before (a) I realized that neither Rolle or McAllister were playing, (b) Heap was out, and (c) McNair's little vacation did not help him throw the ball farther than about five yards.

With backup CBs in the secondary, we are clearly not even close to elite -- even at full strength, we are not close to elite. McNair appears to have aged considerably since last season. Even if healthy, we wouldn't go far without better QB play.

Last year in November, I sat in the stands watching the Ravens-Steelers game, having just had prostate surgery. I had a sore ass, but the Ravens demolition of the Steelers made it all the worthwhile. This year, my ass is feeling better, but I watched my high from last year do a complete 180. The steelers planned a homecoming of sorts on national tv, and succeeded in totally humiliating the Ravens. They embarassed us, just as we did them last year. I know our team and coaching staff could care less (except for a few on the team), but, damn it, they totally humiliated us! The Ravens and Ravens organization should never forget this moment...but they will, and probably already have!!

I thought we might be in the elite ballpark before the season.

But after week 1 this team has struggled to get into the average ballpark.

And after watching that game firsthand last night, I'd love to be average.

But we're not. We're terrible.

Pretty much.

Before the season, I was thinking we were being comletely overlooked by the media who always talked about the "big 3".

Looks like even the media overrated this team as we are a bad/mediocre team.

As much as it pains me to say it, no, we are not an elite team.

I agree with PP, I thought before the season that this team could go places.

Not anymore. :(
