    Tailgating advice

Hey all, I'm going to be hitting up the Bengals game next week with my brother...I've been looking at options for parking passes, and it looks like I might be looking to just light rail in and rove around the lots, since I only have a car, and no grill.

Few questions for those who are used to the pre-game stuff:

1 - Are you allowed to just roam into tailgating lots? I've got a few people I know who tailgate, figured I would be allowed to just walk in and chill with them, but I wanted to be sure first

2 - Is there any good places that sell the tailgating food? I think someone asked this before and I saw a couple people reply about places where you could pay like 7-10 dollars for stuff. Just curious...

3 - In case either 1 or 2 is a no, anyone got a reccomendation for a good, not too expensive place to get food and drink before the game? Like any good bars within walking distance of M and T?

    1. Yes you can just roam the lots.
    2. There are some people who sell Hot Dogs, Prezels. Cart Food, look for the bridges on either side of the stadium, they are usually on the federal hill side of the bridge. I want to say Hamburg st.
    3. If you want to go to a bar, there are few good options in Fed Hill. Mother's has the Purple Patio, outside and they grill burgers. I also like Cross St. Market. Both get pretty crowded. McGirks is good for cheesesteaks.

    Wink Re: Tailgating advice

Anyone can & does roam the tailgate lots.

Food is bountiful. There are lots of street vendors with large selections e.g.: along Eutaw Promenade, and on Warner Steet just below Ostend. Plus hot dog stands on street corners.

Better yet, find a Ravens Roost or Nest which sells food. One I know: the Glen Burnie Nest sets up adjacent to our group, sells all you can eat tailgate food for $5 to $10. See the yellow box on the map:

Feel free to stop by to visit myself and other board members who hang out nearby, about 75-100 feet south of there, just past the lightpole and on the grass.
In a 2003 BBC poll that asked Brits to name the "Greatest American Ever", Mr. T came in fourth, behind ML King (3rd), Abe Lincoln (2nd) and Homer Simpson (1st).

Another good Idea if you are going to be roaming around, it buy a couple of Subs and chips on your way down. That way you can eat when you want and not have to worry about having a grill.

We do this on the rare occasions when we don't tailgate.

Just come to the front of LOT B(across from Johhny U plaza), and look for 3 Flag poles grouped together... We'll feed ya! Chicken kebabs, steak kebabs, burgers, dogs, crab soup, crab cakes, oyster stew, what else ya want? Look for a Black escolade w/ plasma TV in back!
