Stop at Pickles and Sliders (across street from stadium).... The beer is dirt cheap and you can save a ton of cash compared to the beer inside the stadium....

As has been mentioned before, you should make sure that you seek out members here who tailgate. I have met several, both home and away, and had the privilege of talking to Tony in New Orleans. It is cool to put a name to a face and meet someone in person. PM me if you want directions to my tailgate on Game Day.

Have a safe trip and enjoy the journey.

tomrose, as stated in the links above, we have an unofficial RSR tailgate at the corner of W. Ostend and Wicomico, on the grass lot (you can easily see it using Google Earth). Feel free to swing by. We'll be at the very end on the Ostend Street side. Look for a white Dodge mini-van and a stocky chick in a Ravens purple #66 jersey with D. JAHN on the back (that would be me). Walk up and introduce yourself. There will be plenty of food (a seafood feast that has been called "legendary" is on tap for the Jags) and beer (as well as other various adult beverage du jour). We'll be there starting at 8 AM.

Greg as posted a map in this link: http://forum.russellstreetreport.com...light=tailgate

    Hope to see you there!

By all means, listen to our resident chef above.

To get the heaviest dose of the experience, plan to be in Baltimore by 8:30.

And bring celery. it's been a long time since we threw celery at opposing fans.

While the thought of having celery because of where this guy is coming from immediately crossed my mind, the thought of having any type of presence of Jaguar fans to throw celery at never really crossed my mind.
Bring it anyway and maybe we'll eat it.
Shit, I'm hoping I can just actually be there to begin with right now.

You didn't state what attracts you stay in DC on Saturday night. If you have the option to break away, I recommend that you move over to Baltimore on Saturday night, enjoy the night life, and avoid the morning hassle by walking to the Stadium. There are many quality hotels within walking distance, starting with the Convention Center Hilton (by the left field wall of Orioles Park). Other good hotels are clustered around the Inner Harbor and Harbor East entertainment areas.

However, if I were a young man coming over from across "The Pond", I would spend the weekend at the historic entertainment center at Fells Point, specifically the Admiral Fell Inn or the hotel at Hendersons Wharf. The water taxi can provide relatively quick access to the Inner Harbor area, near the stadium complex.

If you are stuck in DC on Saturday night, a transportation alternative to consider for Sunday morning would be the MARC train, which now runs on Sunday mornings. If you prefer the hassle of the drive, the easiest in/out location is the Casino garage, in particular the valet parking. With few exceptions, my experience there over the past two seasons has been 5 to 10 minutes to get onto the freeway vs. 1/2 hour or so from the surface lots. From DC, take I-95 to exit 52 (Russell), first right (Haines), first left (Warner), go straight into the plaza for valet srvice, or right into $30 general parking.
In a 2003 BBC poll that asked Brits to name the "Greatest American Ever", Mr. T came in fourth, behind ML King (3rd), Abe Lincoln (2nd) and Homer Simpson (1st).

You are in good hands - some real good people in here helping you out. I made the trip from Canada last year and the guys posting in this thread helped me out a great deal (thanks again guys and gals!)

Make sure someone chucks a piece of celery at the Jags fan for me.... but buy him a beer after though.

Here's a map to our unofficial RSR tailgate. You can park nearby for free that early.

You know, when you look at that map it makes it look like the walk from the tailgate lot to the stadium is much farther than it really is.
Just figured I'd throw that out there so this guy or anybody else that's not familer with the area isn't persuaded away to meet up due to the map and its deceiving appearance.

We have never charged anybody friend or foe for visiting the tailgate we're at.
We have always welcomed board members and visiting team fans that have registered on here to come by, put names to faces, break bread and drink.
We're not a soup kitchen so eat and run typically won't fly and quite frankly is rude.
Now if you act like an asshole we'll tell you to hit the road, but I have never seen that with any board member that has showed up in the 15 years or so we've all tailgated together.
BRinging booze to any party is never a bad thing.
