Re: Does Ed Reed really get his due in Ravenlore??
Ed Reed is my all time favorite Raven. When I wear a jersey it's his. I actually have his picture hanging up in my office. Not once have I ever felt that Reed was not absolutely revered by Ravens fans. Ed Reed's greatness stands on it's own. No reason to bash anyone else to prove what Ed Reed has accomplished.

Ed Reed is my favorite also. We can debate all day who the greatest Raven was (what a great debate to be able to have!). But, can anyone deny who the most exciting Raven was? Nothing matches an Ed Reed interception, run back and subsequent lateral at the 15 yard line.

Does Ed Reed really get his due in Ravenlore??
I'd argue Ray was the most exciting Raven actually.
Now if you're talking "play maker" exciting, yes, definitely Reed.
But Ray running down Eddie George, his own slew of INT, blowing up Sproles on 4th down, the Super Bowl run, etc. all rank as my all time favorite Raven moments.
But as GOTA said, I appreciate Reed on his own. Comparing the two and trying to out one above the other seems pointless even in a casual sense.

52 effected the games in ways that don't show up as sexy stats like INT and Sacks. There is MUCH more to the game then one guy who is allowed to freelance because the other 11 have shit locked down for him. Ed also gave up some big plays by playing less solid technique and more free roaming. That and around half way through his career he forgot how to tackle.

Re: Does Ed Reed really get his due in Ravenlore??
Not to downplay Ed Reed and I loved him as well but wasn't it Ray that called Ed when he was drafted and asked him do you want to be good or do you want to be great?
Ray took Ed in and helped Reed become the player he was. Both were exciting, both were playmakers and both were leaders and what makes me the most proud is both were Baltimore Ravens.

I am honestly in shock this is a debate.
