Why is Arrington on the outside?

Why do we do this? Literally every (or nearly) article about us picking him up in the offseason wrote about how he was only good in the slot, and most added how he's absolutely terrible outside the numbers. Pats fans all say the same thing.

Why do we move Webb into the Slot and put Arrington outside when he's in? Per Filmstudy's latest article, Arrington was in for 20 snaps, all of which he lined up outside for.

Is Webb that bad on the outside?

It's Pees. Not using guys to the best of their abilities is kind of his thing.

Webb is better than Arrington in the slot if you ask me. I mean blame Pees all you want but we only have 1 outside CB. They thought Melvin would progress to be the other outside CB and use Arrington/webb inside.

Why was Pees trying to cover AJ Green with Kendrick Lewis? The way he schemes the secondary is often strange

Arrington has not played well at all, he's working his way to the bench. they tried to get creative against Pitt and it worked pretty well. Just because an article says he's a slot guy doesn't make it fact. Will Davis was played exclusively on the outside in Miami where he was deemed a failure, we pick him up and use him in the slot and he played great.

Give me a break. Arrington matches up better against AJ Green than Kendrick Lewis, any day of the week. I don't see how you can argue against that.

Of course he is.

And I should have been clear I wasn't being specific about that play.

I'm just saying, people want to know why Pees does this and that, you can usually bet there's a reason for it.

Just for instance on that play, if Smith covers Green in the slot, and then Arrington's on somebody out wide and gets beat, isn't everyone going to be screaming, "Arrington one the outside, bruh? On the outside?"

Most certainly they would.
