    2) Unless they gave him more money then he's already due, no way they would have more of a hit over the long run.
    3) If the player was in the last year of his contract (like Monroe was), it wouldn't impact the cap at all. 2015 would stay the same and no effect on 2016
    4) I'm not saying TB would/should do the deal, only that it's possible if both teams really wanted to make it happen
The issue is the cap impact this year. Jackson has 3 years left. If the Bucs trade him and convert some of that base to bonus they have to pay him the money and take the cap hit this year. If they trade him and then the Ravens convert the base to bonus they still have issues. Lets say they pay him a base of $1 million. That leaves $8.77 to be converted. Jackson has 3 years left. That's $2.92 of bonus per year. The Ravens only have $2.66 in cap space for 2015. They can't afford $2.92 plus the $1 million in base for 2015.

If it was a different contract this could be done but not that one. Any one on a rookie deal they would be able to work something out. These contracts with big balloon base salaries just aren't possible given what's left in the 2015 cap.

Jackson only has this yr and next I believe. If TB gives him the bonus they are responsible for the prorated portions, not the Ravens. If they converted to $1m base and $8.77m bonus, the Ravens are only responsible for the prorated base this year ($1m/# of remaining games). TB would have cap relief this yr of $5.385m ($9.77m - 1/2 of $8.77m), but would have dead money of $4.385m in 2016.
The Ravens would only have to pay the $1m base in 2015 but would have to pay the non-guaranteed $9.77m in 2016. They would have to either pay that, cut him, or re-negotiate/extension.
