I would bet serious money that witnesses told the investigator he'd been drinking (if not falling-down drunk)--& that his contract requires total teetotaling (if not continuing substance-abuse treatment as well) as a condition of continued employment. Given Moeller's well-documented history of waltzing with Ethyl, even an organization as dysfunctional as the Brownies could not have failed to protect themselves with clauses like that.

Addiction is a terrible thing to wrestle with. I hope he manages to put his life back together somehow.
