Re: MiniCamp, OTA's, Training Camp Updates
Almost everything I've ready about Wilson is he's a looks like Tarzan, plays like Jane guy.
He's got good computer numbers, but just wasn't a good football player.Although Walsh's system of offense can compensate for lack of talent; however, defense is a different story. According to Walsh, talent on defense was essential and could not be compensated for. What did Walsh do in 1981? He acquired physical and talented players on defense.

Re: MiniCamp, OTA's, Training Camp Updates
Wilson appears to be a decent developmental prospect, but let's not fool ourselves, there's reasons he wasn't drafted.
That doesn't mean that he can't - or won't - develop into a serviceable (or better) player. The Ravens' history with UDFAs certainly provides proof of that, but I think it's a bit optimistic to think he would have pushed for PT this year. Heck, even next year - coming off of injury - may be too soon too, but there is potential there and hopefully they can bring that out over the next 4 years.

Re: MiniCamp, OTA's, Training Camp Updates
No idea. I mean he has his flaws, but the tools are there so you just wonder if he can be coached up.
always perplexes me when it comes to a guy thats really sought after as an UDFA. I mean this guy had a whos who of top NFL teams coming for him. so if hes that sought after, why not just use your 7th? sometimes the reasoning for that line between late draftee and UDFA is blurred.
PT was probably a poor choice of words. I do think our 5-6th CB will get PT, but not the intent the way i wrote it. should have said roster.-JAB

Re: MiniCamp, OTA's, Training Camp Updates
Ian Wharton (a good draft guy to follow) believes the Ravens will have the most productive rookie class.
The big question mark with Perriman is his drops issues. Despite having 9.25” hands, Perriman struggles clasping the ball on underneath routes. This seems like an issue with focus more than bad hands, based off his tape.
At minimum, Perriman should be similar to Smith. His speed is on par with Smith, but there is significant potential to become great. Smith never showed that promise, and it is likely why the Ravens were fine replacing him in the draft.
If Perriman can shore up his drops issue, the sky is the limit for him. Even as a rookie, the only other receiver who could slow his production is Steve Smith. Smith is very good, but he's also 36 years old. His reign as the top receiver on the team could end in 2015.

Re: MiniCamp, OTA's, Training Camp Updates
He's a few weeks late but Tony Pauline hands out draft grades
This is encouraging:
Selecting Darren Waller in round six was interesting. Many believe Waller’s future lay at tight end but the three deep at the position is very crowded for the Ravens. Alas he’ll likely stay at receiver and if he realizes his potential, Waller could be dominant at the next level. One UDFA of note is Darryl Baldwin, the offensive tackle from Ohio State. There’s room for competition and depth at both tackle spots and Baldwin could surprise this summer.

Wasn't really projecting Aiken this year but since they took so much time and effort I thought I'd post this article on him

Re: MiniCamp, OTA's, Training Camp Updates
People beat up on Kubes and Joe for targeting him in the dropped pass against the Bengals on the goal line but I can see why he's earned their trust. He's gonna be one of Ozzie's gem pickups I think. I liked what he did in pre-season and was glad he made the team.
