Perriman was incredible at the Combine too. Its the games where he's made the bad drops. What he does in practice really means nothing. He needs to prove that he will hold on to the ball when it counts.

After holding out for the first five days of camp, Clayton will be paid $8.2 million over the length of the deal that the two sides agreed to days earlier. The main sticking point in finalizing the deal revolved around the amount of guaranteed money would be included. An escalator clause was also added that would enable Clayton to receive an additional $2.5 million in the 5th year of the deal.

Sorry, but nothing from that video impresses me at this point. Slow motion of him running routes and catching what, 3 passes not from Flacco? Wow. I'm sure his drops were edited out of the video. Gonna take a lot more than that extremely small amount of footage for me to get excited about the guy. lol Don't get me wrong, I want him to be a true #1 WR for the Ravens, but there is nothing in that video that shows that he will even make the final roster. (yes, I know it's almost a given that he makes it)

That's fair. We know that Walker is not a technique guy, that he's going to take some time adapting to the pro game, learning to make the most of his physical gifts. I'm more or less writing him off for the year... a depth player, "break glass in case of emergency", which is sadly where we were at last year.
My ideal continuation of the offseason, at this point, is for all our CBs to get through camp healthy, and for a respectable CB to be released from another team and get picked up on a one-year deal. Someone who we can play outside and move Webb into the slot. We have Melvin as CB4, Asa as CB5 or off the team. Walker hangs around as a ST contributor or gets stashed on IR for a year. Levine jumps in for Walker (IR) or Asa (cut).
If we can't bolster our ranks with a good player from another team that loses out in a cap/numbers game, then I hope Melvin can make the leap.
Based on our current roster, I'd expect CB to be near the top of our wish list next season.

All it really showed was a guy penciled in as 4 on our CB depth chart got worked and looked really bad. Thats scary.

The guy who Brady completed like 14 passes against alone in the playoff game? Thats the dime back your comfortable with? I respect you as a poster for sure bro but I dont trust him there anymore than Asa as the 3. All of them backed down one more would be min. Id bring in 2 better CBs but you cant have that good of depth everyhwere so one will have to suffice and pray Webb and Jimmy dont get hurt.
