    Re: Tray Walker- Texas Southern

I think the crticism that he could be had later is valid but ill look at the positive and say... they felt so sure about him they took him a round early to ensure it. I like the pick. Just hearing him talk i think he realizes theres a belief from our staff and he wants to prove them right.

Side note: i know i questioned our first pick, which i have relaxed some on since, but i think this draft could really rival some of our best. Im loving the picks.

Rashad Greene/S. Diggs/K. Bell (WRs), Davis Tull (OLB), Amos Adrian (S), Jarvis Harrison (OG). I am just disappointed we didn't wait until the 5th round comp picks for him, that's all... Bc

I have been listening to 1090 draft coverage in the car. They said someone on the Ravens told them Walker was in play as early as the third round. Ravens love this kid.

He may or may not have been there for the 5th, but we need CB depth and he has all of the intangibles. I think it was adjusted for need.

There is no guarantee Walker would have been there later. You have to stick by the board and take the guys you covet.

This the one guy we drafted who I never heard of. I'm hoping for the best but have no expectations.

The Ravens DB coach was at his private workout and told him that he would try to convince the Ravens to draft him. The Ravens must have been impressed enough with him to not take the chance he lasted another round. I'm not sure what else the Ravens would have selected that they didn't get in a different player later. I think it's a smart pick.
