Peter angelos sucks thread

That's right, Mr Angelos sucks a big one as far as MLB owners go! Sure, the O's and he lucked out kind of with a few good years, but that's after what about 17 years of sucking, and look at them now! Why ... because he's a cheap money grubbing POS owner, look at the good players they let walk. This guy has money to spend to have a championship team -if he wants- without putting himself in the poor house. The O's might have a year or two where they give the fans something to cheer about, but don't get your hopes up to much with this fuck as owner; go to the world series you say ???? only after he's not any part of the Orioles. The fans and the team deserve better then this ambulance chasing asshole as owner! And DAN FUCKING DUQUETTE is just his mouth piece and look where he wanted to go, can't blame him; he knows how much Peter sucks.

There was nothing wrong with Duqette choosing to let those players walk. Markakis' numbers had not been great the past few seasons, so a four year contract was too much risk (he was offered three.) His fielding is going to get worse as he ages. Cruz is 35, so a four year contract was too long (plus, he did not have a strong second half last season. No way to tell which half was the real Cruz.) Miller was too expensive. Our bullpen was among last year's best even before his few months with the team.

The O's problem is not that they left. The problems are a) their replacements aren't doing well, b) too many players who remain from last season are doing poorly - pitchers and hitters/fielders, and c) the players looked at to make up for their loss - Davis, Manny, Wieters - are struggling at the plate, or are injured. None of this is Angelos' fault.

I have had plenty of problems with Angelos' ownership over the years. Now he listens to his GM and his manager, which is what we wanted him to do since he bought the team. He is not going to have a top ten payroll, but that isn't required to have a winning team. A good GM is.

The problem with the Orioles right now is the starting pitching. If they could get deeper in games, they'd have a much better record right now. The same starting pitching was excellent last year down the stretch, so I think they will right the ship.

Sorry, poor second half or not, Cruz tore it up in the playoffs and was a surefire bet to hit 35+ given that short porch in left field at OPACY. Now our lineup has a huge hole in it. Who's DHing tonight, Snider? Are you kidding me? 14 mil/yr is chump change for a player like Cruz
