Re: Matt Schaub to Ravens
I said in the other thread that they would make him an offer but not let him shop it. Sounds like they came to terms. Hope he's cheap ;)

Re: Matt Schaub to Ravens
I assume that a decent chance to win a SB ring trumps a larger contract at this point in his career
That ain't saying vet minimum, just saying maybe a great team discountat one point of my life I was exactly Pi years old

Re: Matt Schaub to Ravens
Yep...sounds like a guy who has come to grips with who he is and wants to live out his NFL days holding down the cushiest backup job in the league.

Re: Matt Schaub to Ravens
If it is more than 1-2 mil per year, I'm going to be pissed. Too many needs to piss away limited cap money on a backup QB.

Re: Ravens interest in Schaub?
Are you kidding? Just lay down if Joe is injured? That's a solution in this league? I would lay dollars to dounuts that Schaub wiuns more games than Wenning if called upon. Schaub is a 2x Pro Bowl QB who knows this system well and is only 33. Jettison one or both of the bumass practice squad QBs and sign him to a 3 year deal.
THIS^^^^^
That's why you can't look at our "Plan B" as curl up into a fetal positiona dn wait for the end of the season. Schaub has lost a ton of value for his 2013 performance, his injuries, and failure to start in Oakland. And that last one is no stigma either. He's about the only guy left ont he open marlet that could even remotely carry a team to the playoffs. If Ozzie & Co don't sign him it because he's still asking for too much and doesn't really care for a a SB title on his resume.

Re: Matt Schaub to Ravens
Good signing. Should Joe be out a few games Matt Schaub could fill in nicely.

Re: Matt Schaub to Ravens
If true, they just went from having one of the worst backup QBs in the league to one of the best. Great move if he comes cheaply ($2M per or less).
