Re: So is there any realistic chance we sign Andre Johnson?
The rumor mill says that he is more interested in a chance to win a ring than a big payday. maybe??
However, I don't really think he is what we need.

And still highly effective with who throwing him the ball? I dont think he was a guy the relied on speed so im not sure why that matters. Theres guys that start their careers slower than what he is now and are effective. Not sure thats a meaningful criticism. I got that criticism with Sr because he was a guy that was known for speed and relied on it to some degree. I dont see that with johnson.

I'm excited to see more of the young guys we have in the mix. It usually takes 2-3 years to really excel in the pros

I am too. I think it would be hard to trust brown aiken and camp as major contributors alone but i do like what ive seen of them. Theres a good mix there. Adding a vet and trusting them to step up is a Ravens move but id really like them ti add an early wr prospect. Its really time to infuse some talent there.

If Ravens can afford 5-6 mil for him I think thats fair, and would be a big boost to our team.

They can afford him after ngata gets cut. Line him up outside with a young burner on the other side and senior in the slot. Spend one of the top 3 picks on a RB and our offense is looking real solid.

Re: So is there any realistic chance we sign Andre Johnson?
Theres always a chance but realistic? Im thinking no. And honestly as good as hes been thats fine with me. Id much prefer someone that can pop the lid off a secondary. Without Torrey and JJ we dont have that as of right now.
They hate us..... but they want to BE us. (.... or at least poach all our players/coaches/FO people!) :respect

Definitely the silly season now. But at least it's not his mom that's tweeting...(looking at YOU Vince Young!)

Andre Johnson's brother tweeted 4 teams Andre is interested in _ Seahawks, [sic]Colys, Pats and Packers."The Ravens are not taking Jimmy Smith at 26!" -- Me, the day before the 2011 Draft
"On their way to the podium, the Ravens FO is going to collectively step over my dead body and select...Breshad Perriman." -- Me, the day before the 2015 Draft

Re: So is there any realistic chance we sign Andre Johnson?
He doesn't want to come here so it's no point in trying.

Re: So is there any realistic chance we sign Andre Johnson?
Of course he wants to come here, but he still wants to be paid.
Personally, the aging veteran signing habit has grown old on me as well, but I reserve judgement on whether or not Andre Johnson is done until I see him actually catch passes from a QB worth a damn. In other words, better than MATT FUCKIN SCHAUB."Please take with you this final sword, The Excellector. I am praying that your journey will be guided by the light", Leon Shore
