Re: The Deflate Gate Thread
So Dungy, Manning, and the Colts being paranoid about their locker room being bugged and passive-aggressively blaming that a decade later for their many failures against New England? Okay, so what explains those other epic Colts playoff flame outs to underdogs Pittsburgh, Tennessee, and San Diego twice? Too much pumped in crowd noise at the Hoosier Dome?

Re: The Deflate Gate Thread
It's not that other teams don't cheat. Indianapolis, Minnesota and Atlanta have all been busted for pumping in crowd noise. Coaches getting players to fake injuries to slow down hurry up offenses. Use of illegal substances.
It's just that the Patriots issues always seem to go above and beyond what you normally see.

Re: The Deflate Gate Thread
I agree with this, and will add that I believe an aggravating factor and something that also distinguishes the Patriots from the other cheaters is that the Patriots are a good team even without cheating, so when they do cheat it's often that critical extra difference which vaults them to conference championships and super bowls.
Maybe that worked for the Colts too, a little. Not for Minnesota and Atlanta.
Being a loser doesn't make cheating OK. It's still cheating. But it draws less attention when the cheating didn't gain you much.
When the cheating helps win you a super bowl, and it's potentially been going on for many years, then it not only matters, it really matters. If instead the Seahawks had taken home the Lombardi, we might not even be having this discussion now. Or at least it would have garnered a lot less public interest. Probably just a $25K fine and that would be the end of it.

As it turns out, @SI_PeterKing also was given bad PSI info earlier in #DeflateGate -- info the NFL never corrected http://wp.me/p14QSB-9PFs

Re: The Deflate Gate Thread
Is there another deadline in the NFL vs. Cheater in the works? Or we are just waiting for September 5th for the judge to render its decision?

Re: The Deflate Gate Thread
Judge Berman needs to get over himself and just issue a ruling already. Brady is never going to admit guilt, and the league is never going to settle for just a fine. Berman has stretched his 15 minutes long enough.
