Poker Players
Any other poker players here? I've been playing poker for 12 years...but only semi seriously the past 7 years. Since I've been in Germany I've really increased my playing time in casinos all over Europe. This year I plan on playing in my first WSOP event in Berlin, and my first EPT event in London.
Does anybody play anything other than Texas Hold'em? Got any good card stories? What are some of the bigger events you guys have played in? Anybody not in the US can friend me on Pokerstars (PM me username).Master of 'Gifs for dummies'

Re: Poker Players
I play and have been playing online again for a few months on Bovado.com. I don't know how they're doing it, but they've found away around the ban.
I am pretty much a Texas Hold'Em player, with 6 person sit & go's as my favorite. I've dabbled with Omaha a bit too though I don't enjoy it as much as Hold'em.
Largest tournament I was ever in was back in 2005. I placed in the money at a satellite event at the Borgada. I was three places away from getting a seat at the WSOP Main Event.

Re: Poker Players
Nice! My dream is to play in the WSOP Main Event.
I play some Omaha, mostly pot limit. I'm not sure how Bovado is getting around the ban either. I heard something may pass soon in NJ to allow online gambling. Be careful how much money you keep there, in case the feds come down on Bovado.Master of 'Gifs for dummies'

Re: Poker Players
I used to play a lot BC (before children). Made several trips up to Atlantic City playing mostly play Hold 'Em, but I also enjoy a game of 7 card stud or 7 card stud hi/lo. Although the hi/lo game is probably really rusty at this point.
I'll probably play a $1,000 -$1,500 WSOP event within the next few years. I think that would be a blast.
Good luck in your WSOP event!

Re: Poker Players
I was back in Baltimore last weekend and had a chance to play in the Horseshoe's poker room for the first time.
I only played for 4 hours but I was impressed. The casino itself needs some lessons in customer service but they seem to have a really top notch room.
Lots of tables and wide range of games, even had a PLO table going.
