    Super Bowl earnings per player

The $46,000 check each Denver Bronco got helped
ease the pain of losing last year's SB. Each
Seahawk doubled that at about $92,000 plus
money for winning their two playoff games coming to
about $157,000. The NFL paid out over $9M to the
    Seahawks in PO money.

That's chump change for these QBs making $120M
or whatever but adds some nice coins to the minimum
wage players even though they do nice themselves.

By contrast each Baltimore Colt got almost $5,000 pr
man when they won their 1958 Championship game
often called the greatest game ever played. The losers
got in the neighborhood of $3,000. The
highest paid salaries were between $15,000-$20,000.

Average weight of the o-line was 244 lbs. About 7 players
and coaches were WW2 vets including Gino
Marchetti who was in the Battle of the Bulge and Arty Donovan
who shot down kamakazie planes in the Pacific and Giants
DC Tom Landry who dropped bombs over Germany.

He developed the famous 4-3 defense
to stop Jim Brown and Green Bay's famous power sweep. It
was called the flex defense although Tom Matte, the instant QB
shredded it to pieces over the air and beating it by 30 pts in
the Playoff Bowl in Miami. Shula laughed all the way home saying
Matte didn't even know what a flex defense was.
