Re: Gary Kubiak Watch
IMHO, seeing as everyone knows Kubiak is close to Elway, his announcement Sunday was a way to get ahead of this speculation. Did it work? No, not really. It is also hard to work for friends when they are in a position of power over you. For right now I'll take Kubiak for his word.

Re: Gary Kubiak Watch
Ditto about his speghetti arm so Elway blames Fox. What a douche.
Elways always was a douche and always will be, same way he
treated Tebow after beating Squeelers in POs.
Fox didn't win the SB with Manning so he's gone. He won 4 straight
divisional championships and went to the SB.
Kubes would be crazy to walk into that bees nest plus he'll be
under the microscope. Im not sure if his heart can take all that
pressure. That job will kill him if he doesn't win the SB in the
next 2 years with Manning even with the speghetti arm.
I expect him to stay.

Re: Gary Kubiak Watch
If Kubiak leaves, they will move on and survive, just like they always have. They'll literally have their pick of basically any offensive mind out there that they want. I'm not the least bit concerned if he leaves. I do expect he will stay, though.

Re: Gary Kubiak Watch
I hope you guys are right about Kubiak staying. Most of the national media sites are saying that it'll be a big surprise if he turns down an offer from Denver so I'm getting a bit anxious about it.

Re: Gary Kubiak Watch
Kubiak should hear them out. Why not? Always good to know what else is out there assuming he wants another HC in the future.
I don't see him taking it though.Disclaimer: The content posted is of my own opinion.

Re: Gary Kubiak Watch
His recent comments seem to indicate he is happy with his X's and O's role and doesn't necessarily desire the spotlight that being a head coach brings. I honestly believe he enjoys where he's at and is going to stay for a while. I'm sure he is being paid very well, most likely near or at what minimally experienced head coaches make. He knows he has a great situation, why uproot again in such a short amount of time?

Re: Gary Kubiak Watch
Marvin Lewis told us he was going to stay and then reneged when he left to go be the Redskins DC.
We've all seen it before with coaches and it wouldn't surprise me now with Kubiak's ties the Broncos. I believe he has more integrity than that based on many of the things I've read, seen and heard living in Houston.
If he did leave, that would suck, but I wouldn't be too upset, (although I was as pissed as Modell about the Marvin Lewis flip flop at the time). People change their minds. Stuff happens. It's life. Hopefully Kube's give us another year or two. Or three or four.... ;)Last edited by Stone; 01-13-2015 at 10:51 PM.

Re: Gary Kubiak Watch
We can't know the complete story, but its important to remember that he had the heart issue his last season in Houston and it may have been a wake up call - he may not want the added stress of being the Head Coach - also his wife and family may have alot of imput - add to that the fact that they are building a new house in Maryland - it would be great to see him and Pees in place for the forseeable future - that kind of stability to go along with the rest of the solid Ownership and Management is hard to come by.

Re: Gary Kubiak Watch
I think Gary's relationship with John actually hurts the Bronco's cause to land him. Why stress the relationship? He has it good here and I am sure he is well compensated.
