Funny, completely irrelevant, coincidence
Some Ravens-Chargers funny coincindences the past couple of years:
2009: Ray Lewis wins the game for us on 4th down
2010: The Chargers fail to make the playoffs, despite being #1 in the league in both offense and defense, while we make it at 12-4.
2012: 4th&29, we end up winning the Super Bowl, they miss the playoffs.
2013: We miss the playoffs for the first time in six years, they make it back for the first time in four years. Entering week 17 they needed four games to end the right way for them to get in, while we just had to win our own game. Nonetheless, they were the ones who made it.
2014: They have this great comeback win against us, and then an even more improbable comeback win against the 49'ers to set up a possible second year in the row, where they've beaten us out for the #6 spot.
Anyone else find it funny that between us and the Chargers, one team's success seems to always come at expense of the other? From 2008-2012 (especially 2012) we were the team who always found a way to win, while the Chargers found a way to lose.
Since last year, it seems to have shifted.

I don't know how this fits in, but, in 2006...we beat them here...but they are the top seed...we are the 2nd seed.
Peyton comes here and the best defense we had since 2000, keeps him out of the endzone, but a mediocre offense stank it up.
Meanwhile, the Chargers, pick off Brady to end the game, BUT, the DB runs around and fumbles it back to them...and the rest is history.
We could have had a home AFCCG here against the Patriots.
How glorious would THAT have been?!
Maybe if our offense wins that game, and goes on to host the AFCCG, Billick stays here much longer. Just food for thought.
