Thread: Pernell McPhee

    Re: Pernell McPhee

Given a choice, I'd take McPhee because of youth and looking down the road. Personally, I'd like to keep them both. For the reasons others have discussed, both of them maybe gone.

Ngata stays if he restructures at a much lower cap number.
McPhee stays if he doesn't get a much higher offer than the Ravens are willing to pay.

In both cases, I think they'll be playing elsewhere next year.

    Re: Pernell McPhee

I would vote for keeping McPhee over Ngata on both age and co$t.

In reality, I think we lose them both.

I'm not sure I agree with those who say we have plenty of pass rushers. You can't have too many and both Suggs and Doom are aging (Suggs) and rather one-dimensional (Doom). After those two? IF KLM and Urban are projected to be 100% physically, THEN we are OK, but both must be considered ?.

    Draft:
    CB
    TE
    WR
    Pass rusher
    CB
    S
    S

Keep Mcphee. Him + suggs + doom + jernigan = best 4 man rush in the league.

People aren't even taking into account the 2 DL'men we draft next year.

I don't see either Ngata or McPhee on the Ravens after this year.

Sure they're being taken into account; it's just assumed that one or both of the newbies will end up on IR before the season opener.
