Although I guess I'm not totally surprised with the way contracts escalate, It still is a little surprising that Joe already has more net worth than a lot of QB's in history ($35M)- and he's only played about half of his career. Some of the names that are higher on the list surprise you, and some don't- but the one that looks like the biggest sham to me is definitely Smokin' Jay Cutler?? What has this guy ever done (besides this: http://smokinjaycutler.tumblr.com/)? I know that even Joe probably earns more than I'd like to pay him, but when you don't have better options, you pay what you have to pay (and I love Joe for what he does for us, and I'm a big #5 fan)- but Cutler has been nothing but mediocre his whole career... Well, bravo to him for not blowing his money at least.

The other amazing thing is you can probably guess 2 or 3 of the top 4- but the number one QB/former QB in terms of net worth is light years past the other 19- and it's probably not who you think.
