deja-vu. the Bengals crowd last week very much like we are this week

Few teams were in worse injury status than the Bengals were last week against us. Their boards reflected that. Over the years, it took me awhile to calm down after losses. Going into this one, the roles have reversed. Now...I just view this as typical NFL. I still don't prescribe to the "any given Sunday" mantra. With a scientific mind , it just rubs me the wrong way. Just like last week, AJ being out...all told I can't say the scores would be any different. In my old days betting college ball....bigger, faster, stronger sure did play a part. You just had to figure how much of a part versus those large spread numbers that were often levied. The talent factor plays a part still. Scheme, game plan are likely more involved at the NFL level. And unless we are part of those game planning meetings, we just don't know. The Steelers are coming down from a different type of team and we are back into the AFCN. I like our chances. Not confident but from a generalized standpoint, there are enough weaknesses on their squad as ours. I don't make predictions that often anymore. I have elevated my game to just be hopeful. If a loss here.... I will be pissed , maybe even a bit longer than usual. But not devastated as I once could be. Calling Courtney Upshaw..... just that first hit made an impact. So fickle is the pro game. Go my Ravens.

If you have a long and extra happy Saturday night,sometimes posting 5:30 the next morning comes out interesting. Do have to say that when the Ravens plays team hard, that team has players hurt for the next week. Bengal players took some licks last week.
