    AP to play this week

I don't get it. AP is going to play this week and where is the outrage? Our guy Gantt seems to be treating this differently.

Absolutely ridiculous. The NFL has to do something. They can't ban Rice for domestic violence and let guys like AP play for assaulting a 4 year old.

Or maybe the league should not rush to judgment and view all the evideence and hear all sides before doling out punishment.

There are PICTURES plus AP admitted it ALL to the police, even smiled in his mugshot AND has a 'whipping room' - case closed.

I'm sure the reaction would be different if there was video of AP actually hitting the kid with the switch. The outrage isn't on the same level.

I kind of agree with blah3 on this.

AP likely has a world of hurt coming his way, but the NFL isn't a law enforcement agency, nor are they a judiciary component of any sort.

If the NFL wants to do something then they should encourage the Vikings to do so.

Until AP has his day in court, nothing means anything right now.

    Wrong. Case not closed.

It hasn't even been to trial yet. That's the point. Being indicted by a grand jury just means there is enough evidence to warrant a trial. That's it.

The NFL is not judge and jury.

How long did it take to punish Ray Rice? And the general consensus now is that they didn't view all the evidence as they should before making a decision.

Wait for a jury to do what exactly? He admitted to it!

I'm just pissed off that there is so little outrage over what Peterson did in comparison to what Rice did. The Rice video came out and the Ravens had to cut him because the public pressure was insurmountable. Where is the public pressure and outrage over letting Peterson suit up on Sunday? I'm literally disgusted with the people all over the place defending Peterson like what he did wasn't wrong or not that bad.

What if we play a little thought experiment here:

What if Ray Rice had just decided he needed to discipline his fiancee because she was acting out and he didn't like the way she was behaving, so he stuffed leaves in her mouth, stripped her pants off, beat her bare ass bloody with a switch including lacerations on her vagina, and then we get evidence coming out that he does this to her regularly when he doesn't approve of how she's acting, and sees nothing wrong with it and has no intentions of stopping.

What would people be calling that? What names would they be calling Ray? Would people be more or less disgusted with his actions?

"At this time, however, we believe this is a matter of due process and we should allow the legal system to proceed so we can come to the most effective conclusions and then determine the appropriate course of action. This is a difficult path to navigate, and our focus is on doing the right thing. Currently we believe we are at a juncture where the most appropriate next step is to allow the judicial process to move forward."

And because we blow as a team without you, we will put off any decision on your future until the off-season, but we might change our minds and increase your punishment if the public screams enough about it.
